Embracing God's Perfect Love: Reflections on Christian Perfection

Dear Church Family,

I'm so grateful for God's grace upon us. His word continues to guide us and strengthen us day by day. I pray you were encouraged and at the same time challenged by Sunday's message.

We explored the concept of Christian perfection and holiness, as understood through John Wesley's teachings and biblical context.

We grasped the true meaning of perfection in the New Testament - not as flawless sinlessness, but as fulfilling our intended purpose to love God supremely and love others as ourselves.

This understanding challenges us to reconsider our approach to spiritual growth and our relationship with God and others.

Takeaways:

As we move forward this week, let's reflect on how we can open our hearts to receive God's perfect love more fully. Remember, this isn't about striving harder, but about surrendering more completely to God's transforming grace.

May we all grow in our capacity to love God and others, fulfilling our true purpose in Christ.

VBS - Vacation Bible School Slimed

Monday-Friday | July 28 - Aug 1 | 6:00-8:30 pm | PreK-5th grade
PreK and kids who have just finished kindergarten-5th grade are welcome to join our exciting VBS this year. Sometimes in life it feels like we've been slimed! Sometimes it's because of decisions we make, sometimes it's from decisions others make that hurt us.
