The Parable of the Sower - Cultivating Receptive Hearts

Hello One Church!

I hope this email finds you well. As you know, each week I like to send out some thoughts based on Sunday's sermon.

On Sunday, we looked into the Parable of the Sower from Matthew 13, exploring its deeper meaning and implications for our spiritual lives. The message emphasized the importance of having a receptive heart to God's word and how our response to His message determines the fruitfulness of our faith. We were reminded that while God generously sows His word everywhere, it's our responsibility to cultivate good soil in our hearts.

Remember, with God's help, we can produce a supernatural harvest - "a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."

May we all strive to be good soil, receptive to God's word and bearing fruit in our lives.

La Parábola del Sembrador: Cultivando Corazones Receptivos

¡Hola, One Church!

Espero que este correo los encuentre bien. Como saben, cada semana me gusta enviarles algunas reflexiones basadas en el sermón del domingo.

Este domingo, profundizamos en la Parábola del Sembrador de Mateo 13, explorando su significado y las implicaciones que tiene para nuestras vidas espirituales. El mensaje enfatizó la importancia de tener un corazón receptivo a la palabra de Dios y cómo nuestra respuesta a Su mensaje determina qué tan fructífera es nuestra fe. Se nos recordó que, si bien Dios siembra Su palabra generosamente en todas partes, es nuestra responsabilidad cultivar buena tierra en nuestros corazones.

Puntos clave:

• En las Escrituras, entender no significa solo oír, sino también actuar conforme a la palabra de Dios.

• Nuestros corazones le importan a Dios, y Él está dispuesto a trabajar con nosotros a pesar de nuestras imperfecciones.

• El crecimiento espiritual requiere raíces profundas, las cuales desarrollamos a través de la comunidad y la perseverancia en la fe.

Mientras avanzamos en esta semana, reflexionemos sobre la condición de nuestros corazones. ¿Estamos permitiendo que las preocupaciones del mundo ahoguen la palabra de Dios, o estamos nutriendo la semilla que Él ha plantado en nosotros? Recuerden que, con la ayuda de Dios, podemos producir una cosecha sobrenatural: "ciento, sesenta o treinta veces más de lo que se sembró".

Que todos nos esforcemos por ser buena tierra, receptivos a la palabra de Dios y dando frutos en nuestras vidas.

All men are invited on the last Saturday of each month. Plan to come together here at the church to start the day with a good meal and a great bunch of guys! Breakfast will be provided. Donations are suggested to underwrite the food cost.
