As we continue through Mission in Motion, this Sunday's message gave us an opportunity to look inward and consider how God is shaping us, even in the everyday things we often overlook. Sometimes that growth shows up in the words we speak, the conversations we join, and the way we choose to speak about others.

Mientras continuamos con Mission in Motion, el mensaje de esta semana nos dio la oportunidad de mirar hacia nuestro interior y considerar cómo Dios nos está formando, incluso en las cosas cotidianas que muchas veces pasamos por alto.

Men’s Breakfast: Dads + Kids Edition

This month, men attending the breakfast are welcome to bring their kids along, if they would like. All men are invited to come together here on the last Saturday of the month to start the day with a delicious breakfast. (Donations are suggested to underwrite the food cost.)

Membership Class
Sunday, August 30 | 11:30 am (English) & 12:30 pm (Spanish) Lunch Provided
Interested in church membership, how to formally become part of One Church, or why you might consider taking this next step? Join us for an informational class taught by Pastor Jorge as we explore these questions together.
In the single-session membership class on the 30th, you will learn what membership means, our core beliefs, and have the chance to ask any questions about our denominational affiliation.
We invite both prospective and current members to join us for this session, which serves to introduce new members while offering existing members direct engagement with Pastor Jorge and insight into the future of One Church.
Lunch will be provided, so please register in advance to help us plan for attendance and make sure we have plenty for everyone!

¿Te interesa la membresía de la iglesia, saber cómo formar parte oficialmente de One Church o por qué podrías considerar dar este próximo paso? Acompáñanos a una clase informativa impartida por el Pastor Jorge, donde exploraremos juntos estas preguntas.
En esta clase de membresía de una sola sesión, el 30 de agosto, aprenderás qué significa ser miembro, conocerás nuestras creencias fundamentales y tendrás la oportunidad de hacer preguntas sobre nuestra afiliación denominacional.

Family Promise

Our week for helping homeless families in the community to break the cycle of homelessness is coming up. If you have considered providing an evening meal, staying overnight as a chaperone, fellowship (visit with families & entertain kids), or helping in some other way, please sign up at Info-Central or by joining the group below. Help is also needed for set-up.

All-Church “Day of the Nations” Lunch

All are invited to join in this special celebration of Day of the Nations, inspired by National Hispanic Heritage Month. Lunch will begin at approximately 12:30 pm when English Sunday School and the Spanish worship service ends.
Please bring a dish representative of your place of origin labeled with its name. Make sure the amount is enough for your family plus an extra portion to share.

Alabaster Offering

As part of a denomination with ministry initiatives in 162 different world areas, One Church strives to assist these ministries in impacting their communities. One such way is through Alabaster—a semi-annual offering where proceeds go towards the purchase of property and construction of ministry facilities literally around the world. Pick up an Alabaster Box at Info-Central to start saving your coins and dollars, or just place it in a prominent place in your home as a reminder of this giving opportunity coming up.

2026 WOMEN’S RETREAT - THEME: HER STORY, HIS GLORY
October 16-18, 2026 | Camp Allen Retreat Center, Navasota, TX
Join us for our One Church Women’s Ministry Retreat...a time to step away, connect deeply, and grow in confidence as you learn how to share your story. Rooted in Luke 19:10, we will explore what it means to be found by Jesus and sent with purpose. This retreat will include testimony training, meaningful conversations, worship, and intentional moments to reflect on what God has done in your life and how your story can impact others. Cost is $100 and includes your stay, meals, and all sessions. A $25 deposit (nonrefundable) is required to register. Last payment due by September 1.
